Day 1

Trip Commencement: Group arrives in Zanzibar. Spend the night in our Stone Town accommodations, learn about the local culture, and get to know your fellow volunteers

Day 2

Settle into our accommodations on the beach before orientation and meeting your host community to immerse yourself in one of the most unique cultures on the planet.

Days 3-10

Zanzibar Volunteer and Adventure Activities: Wake up each day to the sound of waves crashing on the beach. After breakfast, we’ll begin work on our English education and school construction projects around 8:00 am. Volunteer until lunchtime and then relax on the beach for a couple of hours before returning to the project site for the rest of the afternoon. In the late afternoon, we’ll wrap up volunteer work and head out on a variety of adventure and cultural immersion activities before dinner – playing soccer with locals on the beach, taking Swahili language lessons, snorkeling amongst vibrant reefs, or just chilling in paradise.

Adventure Day: Depart for the Northeastern tip of the island, take a boat past the break and dive into the Indian Ocean to search for and swim with pods of wild dolphins! We’ll spend the rest of the morning snorkeling Mnemba Atoll and enjoying fresh fruit on the boat. In the afternoon, we’ll have a local BBQ, play volleyball on the beach, and enjoy turquoise waters before heading home.

Day 11

Explore the beauty of the African Spice Islands as we visit a local spice farm to learn where foods’ amazing flavors come from and enjoy a delicious farm-to-table lunch. We will depart Zanzibar in the afternoon for Dar Es Salaam as we prepare for our 2-day African safari.

Days 12-13

Embark on an epic 2-day safari! Spend both days searching for the “Big Five” – lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinos, and leopards – as well as driving through herds of giraffes, zebras, baboons and so much more!

Day 14
