International Volunteer Trips for Teenagers

GIVE’s international volunteer programs for teenagers take you off the beaten path to explore rural communities and truly connect with local people through cultural immersion, sustainable volunteer projects, and once-in-a-lifetime adventures. Along the way, you will gain a greater understanding of yourself, the world you live in, and the people you share it with. Explore the webpages below to learn more about our volunteer programs in Thailand and Nicaragua this summer!

Volunteer Program for Teens: 13 days, $1995

Travel from the black sands of Pacific Coast beaches to the glowing craters of Pacific Rim volcanoes, where you will help build homes for families displaced by rising sea levels and teach fundamental English lessons to local children.

Volunteer Program for Teens: 12 days, $1995

Explore the colorful hill-tribe communities of Chiang Mai, teach English at local schools, volunteer on a community-based organic farm, and embark on a 3-day elephant trekking and bamboo rafting adventure through the jungle!

GIVE provided an opportunity for me to contextualize global issues I knew existed, enhance my spanish language skills (and communication skills in general) and gave me role models and mentors who could address worries or doubts I had throughout the trip. As a high school student doing service abroad, I think that my experience was that of learning by observing, asking questions that allowed for understanding. The exposure to types of people from all over the country and world gave me a critical lens to help me understand what kind of impact I want(ed) out of my future. It set the pace for my college experience and my continued love of Spanish and language learning.
