Scuba Conservation Itinerary
Trip Length: 11 Days – Krabi • Phi Phi Islands • Railay • Koh Klang
Day 1
Touch Down in Thailand
Touch down in Thailand and meet your GIVE guides and crew in the arrival hall. From there, we’ll head to our accommodations to settle in, connect with your group, and dive into your first Thai dinner together.
Day 2
Kayak & Cooking Class
Kick off your journey with an opening orientation from your guides before immersing yourself in the stunning natural beauty of Krabi. Paddle through lush mangroves and crystal-clear waters on a scenic kayak adventure. In the evening, dive into Thai culture with a visit to a local market followed by a hands-on, four-course Thai cooking class.
Days 3-5
Get PADI Scuba Certified
Start your PADI Open Water Course in the pool, learning foundational scuba skills under expert guidance. Over the next two days, head out to dive sites along the Ao Nang Coast for five open-water dives that will earn you a lifetime scuba certification.
Already certified? Complete your PADI Advanced Open Water or other specialties.
Day 6
Coral Conservation Dives
Today you’ll become an underwater eco-warrior. Learn how to identify and repair coral damage, safely remove marine debris, and conduct reef health surveys. Then put your skills into action with two SCUBA dives to support ongoing scientific research.
Day 7
Reef Shark Surveys
Explore the vibrant reefs of the Phi Phi Islands while learning about shark biology, behavior, and conservation. You’ll snorkel alongside blacktip reef sharks and other marine life, contributing valuable data to global shark monitoring databases as a citizen scientist.
Day 8
Rock Climbing & Culture
Challenge your body and mind while climbing the world-famous limestone cliffs overlooking Railay Beach. Set beneath towering limestone cliffs, this climbing experience offers routes for all skill levels—from first-timers to seasoned climbers. After a quick stop to explore the stunning White Temple that afternoon, we’ll explore the Krabi Town Night Market for food, drinks and souvenirs.
Day 9
Island Homestay Experience
Step back in time on an overnight trip to Koh Klang Island, a peaceful fishing community rooted in tradition. Ride through the island in rickshaw taxis and participate in hands-on cultural experiences such as natural tie-dye, beach clean-ups, clam digging, or cooking with local families. That night, we’ll stay at a local homestay for an authentic taste of life in coastal Southern Thailand.
Days 10-11
Youth Education & Celebration
Bring it full circle by sharing your new skills and knowledge with local youth. Lead outdoor workshops that connect students to their environment and inspire them to protect their beautiful coastal ecosystems. That evening, we’ll reflect, celebrate, and enjoy one final night with your GIVE family!
On Day 11, depart back home or onto your next adventure. It’s never easy to say see you later—but the friendships, memories, and purpose you’ve found will stay with you long after the trip ends. Enjoy your last few hours in Krabi before heading to the airport for your flight home or onward travel to your next GIVE Adventure!
