USA: Pacific Northwest
Trip Length: 7 Days, Cost: $1995
Here’s a glimpse into all that awaits you in the Pacific Northwest!
Explore downtown Seattle & Pike Place Market | Spend the week in the Cascade wilderness | Volunteer on backcountry trail maintenance | Backpack through old-growth forests, alpine lakes & peaks | Whitewater raft down class 3-4 rapids | Whale watching in the San Juans | Camp under the stars
Trip Commencement: Meet your guides and fellow volunteers at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEATAC). We’ll then take private group transport to our rustic mountain lodge in the Cascade Mountains. After settling in, we’ll gather for a group orientation to get ready for the journey ahead!
Full-day Trail Maintenance Volunteering
After breakfast, we’ll hike to the worksite to begin our trail-maintenance volunteer work until around 3:00pm. We’ll then head back to the campsite for free time to relax or explore the surrounding wilderness before dinner around 7:00pm. After dinner, you’re free to relax or take part in group games and discussions around the bonfire before bed.
Pack up bright and early to meet our transport to the rafting launch site. That afternoon we’ll whitewater raft down class 3-4 rapids on the Snoqualmie River! After an epic day of rafting, we’ll set up camp along the river and gather around the bonfire for dinner and festivities beneath the starry sky.
After breakfast, we’ll pack up camp and make our way to the marina to embark on a whale-watching tour in the Salish Sea! Known as the ‘American Serengeti,” this region is teeming with whales, dolphins and other sea life. Onboard we’ll have the chance of seeing orcas, humpbacks, minkes and gray whales, as well as sea lions, seals and bald eagles!
All good things must come to an end, but these memories and friendships will be with you forever. We’ll drop you off at SEATAC Airport for you to head home or on to your next adventure!
