PNW Volunteer Itinerary

USA: Pacific Northwest

Trip Length: 7 Days, Cost: $1,995

Here’s a glimpse into all that awaits you in the Pacific Northwest!

Explore downtown Seattle & Pike Place Market | Volunteer on environmental restoration projects | Hike through old-growth forests, swim in alpine lakes & summit Cascade peaks | Float down the Snoqualmie River | Go whale watching in the Salish Sea

Day 1

Arrive in Downtown Seattle and enjoy a free day exploring Pike Place Market and other local attractions while the rest of your group arrives!

Day 2

Trip Commencement: Upon meeting your guides after breakfast on day 2 (for ages 18+). Trip will commence for teen groups (ages 15-17) upon arrival at our accommodations on day 1.

Meet your guides bright and early as we head off for our first day of volunteering and exploring in the Cascade Mountains! That evening weʻll check into our home for the rest of the week – a rustic mountain lodge surrounded by the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest!

Days 3-4

Each morning weʻll get to volunteer with local nonprofits on a variety of conservation projects like removing invasive plants and planting native species to restore riparian buffers along the Snoqualmie River. After lunch, we’ll head into the mountains to summit cascade peaks, swim in alpine lakes, hike through old-growth forests, tube downriver and chase waterfalls! We’ll then head back to the lodge for dinner and free time to relax or take part in group games and discussions around the bonfire.

Day 5

Pack up bright and early for an all-day trek into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. After a morning of hiking, we’ll stop to enjoy lunch, swim and sunbathe at an emerald lake surrounded by peaks. From there, itʻs a short but steep journey to the summit for 360 degree views of Mount Rainier, Little Kachess Lake and the Central Cascades. That night, weʻll celebrate our last night in the lodge and pack up for our final adventure the next day!

Day 6

After breakfast, we’ll pack up and make our way to the marina to embark on a whale-watching tour in the Salish Sea! Known as the ‘American Serengeti,” this region is teeming with whales, dolphins and other marine life. Onboard we’ll have the chance of seeing orcas, humpbacks, minkes and gray whales, as well as sea lions, seals and bald eagles!

After dinner and a final celebration, we’ll head back to our accommodations in downtown Seattle.
