GIVE: Volunteering in Nicaragua

GIVE is a one of a kind, amazing organization that opened so many doors for my future. My favorite aspect of volunteering with GIVE in Nicaragua was the feeling of accomplishment at the end of each work day.
You wake up every morning and work under the Nicaraguan sun until the night takes over and you can’t possibly work anymore. When you finally sit down, shower off, and eat dinner, you think back at your day and you realize “Wow, I cannot believe I did all of that in one day!”

“It’s incredible the amount of things you can do in so little time to help others, especially while having fun with your fellow volunteers!”
The smiles and joy on the children’s faces when visiting their school makes all the scratches, sore legs and arms, sweaty bodies, and concrete covered clothes worth it. Our guides were an amazing example of what perseverance, hard work, and a loving heart will lead to. Their dedication and positive attitudes inspired all of the volunteers to follow in their footsteps and lend a helping hand.
